Psychometric properties of a Turkish version of the Oral Health Impact Profile for edentulous patients: validity, reliability and comparison with a visual analogue scale

Objectives: OHIP-EDENT is a shortened version of the Oral Health Impact Profile instrument The purpose this study was to develop and evaluate Turkish it (OHIP-EDENT-TR) for elderly population in Turkey.
 
 Materials Methods: A total 120 edentulous patients (72 males, 48 females; mean age 65.59 ± 7.61 years) who had complete prostheses were included study. completed OHIP-EDENT-TR, which translated during study, visual analogue scale (100 mm) twice at an interval 3 months. Cronbach’s alpha used measure internal consistency summary scores OHIP-EDENT-TR. interclass correlation coefficient 95% confidence OHIP-EDENT-TR its subscales calculated.

 Conclusions: OHIP EDENT reliable, valid applicable evaluating oral health related quality life patients.
